Delete your account and data

Which route you take depends on whose record it is. Kordyn is used by repair businesses, so most of the data in it belongs to one of them rather than to us.
You are a technician or dispatcher
Your account belongs to the business that gave it to you, and an administrator there can deactivate or remove it from the console in a few seconds. Ask them first. If that business no longer exists, or will not answer, write to us and we will act on it ourselves.
You are a customer of a business that uses Kordyn
Your name, address and repair history are that business's record of work it did for you, and it can edit or delete them itself. Ask the business you dealt with. If you are not sure who holds your details, write to us with what you know and we will find out and tell you.
You run a business on Kordyn
Write to [email protected] from the email address of an administrator on the account, and say which company it is. We will confirm it is you before deleting anything — an emailed instruction is not, on its own, proof.
Take your records out first. The console exports customers, invoices, payments and the accounting files at any time, and deletion is not reversible. Once it runs, the account, its technicians, its customers, every job, invoice, photograph and signature are removed.
What happens, and when
- We confirm the request with an administrator of the account.
- The account and everything in it is deleted within 30 days of that.
- Backups are the exception, and only for a while: nightly copies are kept for the last fourteen nights on the server and ninety days off-site, and the deleted data goes when those copies expire. They are not read for anything but restoring the service after a failure.
- Records of payments may have to be kept where the law requires it. Where that applies we keep the invoice and the amount, not the rest.
The phone app
Signing out removes the device from the list of phones that receive notifications for your company. Removing the app from a phone deletes what it kept on that phone. Neither of those deletes the account itself — that is the route above.
